Oxidation

The technique is used in aluminum cosmetic containers such as aluminum airless bottles, jars and aluminum lipstick cases. The process happens when aluminum is oxidized leaving the shiny true color on surfaces.

Reverse Oxidation

Reverse oxidation is a twice oxidation process. First, the component is oxidized with the desired color for the artwork. Then they print the artwork with resistant ink and oxidize the second time with another color for the component. Finally, they buff the ink off, leaving the artwork in its shiny color. The technique creates a highly contrasted and elegant artwork on aluminum components such as cosmetic bottles, lipstick cases, compacts, mascara containers, and etc.
